The Hamilton and Halton communities are mourning the unexpected passing of Stacey Anne Luker, who died on June 25, 2026, at the age of 38. Her sudden death has left family members, friends, colleagues, and countless people whose lives she touched grieving the loss of a compassionate caregiver, devoted mother, and dedicated advocate for vulnerable members of the community.
Above all else, Stacey was a loving mother to her two children, Liam, 12, and Maisey, 6. Family members say her children were the center of her life, and she worked tirelessly to provide them with a safe, supportive, and loving home. Those who knew her best remember her unwavering devotion to her family and the joy she found in raising her children.
Throughout a career spanning more than 15 years, Stacey dedicated herself to serving others in healthcare, education, and community support. She worked with children with special needs through the Halton Catholic District School Board, where colleagues admired her patience, compassion, and commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
Her career also included caring for children with life-limiting illnesses at The Darling Home for Kids in Milton, providing support to seniors as a Personal Support Worker at Burloak Long Term Care Centre in Burlington, and assisting patients as a Pharmacy Technician at the John Street Pharmacy Methadone Clinic in Hamilton. In every role, Stacey earned respect for her professionalism, empathy, and ability to make those in her care feel valued and supported.
Stacey was equally committed to expanding her knowledge and skills. She graduated with honors from Trillium College’s Personal Support Worker program before earning a Community Service Worker diploma. Her education included extensive training in mental health, crisis intervention, psychology, addiction services, and community care, reflecting her lifelong passion for helping others.
Friends and loved ones remember Stacey as someone whose generosity and kindness extended far beyond her professional responsibilities. She was known for offering encouragement during difficult times, advocating for those in need, and creating lasting friendships through her caring nature and positive outlook.
Following news of her passing, heartfelt tributes have poured in from friends, former colleagues, and members of the community. Many have shared memories of Stacey’s compassion, selflessness, and the meaningful difference she made in the lives of countless children, patients, and families.
